On Test: MMC Memory Card,
Files backup
Tel.me T919 includes a MMC memory
card slot. Users can plug the card in and out in turn-on or
turn-off mode. However, the handset can only recognize the card
when the card plug into it in a turn-off mode. When the MMC card
inserts to the handset, some folders are created, like "MMSfolder,
Musicfolder." ThreeGMobile has tried to use the seperate card
reader to load some MP3s and pictures to the card and let the
T919 read. We find that the handsset cannot recognize the files.
we finally find that if we store the MP3 files to "Musicfolder"
the handset then recognize the songs automatically. However, we
still cannot find the way to let the handset know the pictures
location.
Tel.me T919 include a free software "Synchro". Users can use it
to backup the contact, calendar information to PC. Also, it
support the sync with MS outlook. Tel.me T919 has IrDA port,
however, it cannot share the pictures with PC via that port.
On Test: MP3 Play back
Tel.me T919 include a MP3 player.
The player can show the song names. The songs can play via the
internal speaker. The volume is medium to low. The quality is
similar with Sony Ericsson P800. The T919 include a stereo
headjack, it supports stereo output. However, the original
package does not include the stereo handsfree.
On Test: WAP and download
function
Nokia 3650 and Sony Ericsson P800
support ring tones and graphics download through WAP interface.
For Tel.me T919, the support is not enough. ThreeGMobile has
tried to download colour graphics for Nokia 7 series colours
display handset, and Midi format polyphonic ring tones, T919 can
accept the download request, however, it cannot save the
graphics and ring tones afterward. We has tried to connect to
Easto WAP to download colour graphic originally for Sony
Ericsson T68i, the T919 can store that kind of pictures. T919
also uses colour WAP browser, the browsing speed is fast.
Other Features
To use Tel.met T919 to dial phone
number, users has to activate the virtual telephone keypad.
Users can find the telephone number in the "contact" and SIM
card. It is easy to search a telephone number. T919 support
photo caller ID. The picture displays in the middle of the
screen, and is big enough. The voice quality is not satisfied,
the earpiece can produce enough volume ,while the other side
complaints the big background noise.
