3G Fashion : Nokia 7600
Updated: 4 Jan 2004 ( Page 3 )
Music and Sound
Nokia 7600 is claimed as an entertainment phone, while some designs are quite strange. It includes a music player for MP3 and AAC music without external memory card supported. Users can only allocate the internal 24MB memory for music. 3 ¡V 4 songs for each time are the acceptable number. The music player lacks of features too. Unlike N-Gage, the MP3 player for 7600 does not have bass or treble adjustment. 7600 can use the speaker or handsfree to play the songs. However, the speaker volume is too soft. You cannot hear the music clearly even in the silent indoor area.
The poor design also affects the ring tones. Users will not hear the ring tones clearly including normal MIDI or MP3 ring tones. In the first log of 7600, a bug about ring tone is found. The vibration alert will be in vain if using MIDI ring tones download via OTA or by external sources, but it does not affect the MP3 ring
tones.
Bluetooth Management
If your PC is Bluetooth enabled, we can sure that you will be very happy to manage Multi Media files in 7600. After the connection, you will find the respective folders for specific contents, like Music, Graphics, Pictures. For transferring MP3 as example, just drag and drop to Music folder and that is. If you don't need to back up the phone data, or config the phone, PC suite is not needed. For the Series 60 phones, all the contents become the message. Nokia 7600 is more easy to use in this sense. The
bluetooth connection to PC also supports the wireless modem feature. Just one click from PC can activate the internet connection.
