CommunicAsia can be said as a mini CeBIT in the Asia regions. This year Nokia and Sony Ericsson also chose Singapore as a location to announce the new handsets for the latter half year of 2005. Many peoples say that Asian peoples love trendy phones. That's why Sony Ericsson announced 4 fashion phones, not only for the Asian market, but for the rest of the GSM world too. 

 

Sony Ericsson S600i
The first focus phone is the S600i. It is the colorful version of S700i. The uses of exchangeable ¡¥Style up¡¦ cover lets users to change their favorable handset colors.. The well commented swivel design is kept. From our live pictures, you can see the color covers and the uses of loops antenna as the hand string holder, make the phone funkier and look younger. Like S700i, S600i comes with a 1.3 megapixels camera. However, the screen resolution becomes smaller from 320 x 240 pixels to 176 x`220 pixels. The actual screen size decreases from 2.2 inch to 1.8 inch. But S600i still uses TFT 262k color display and let the users can view pictures in a bright way. 

The enhancements for S600i include the inclusion of Netfront web browser. That browser is widely used in Nokia¡¦s S60 platform smartphones. It enables the users to view normal websites in a tiny little screen. The mp3 playing mode is improved too The phone now supports MegaBass and Stereo Widening. The 64MB internal memory is sufficient to hold plenty of songs. The MusicDJ and VideoDJ that can be found on previous K750i will be included in the S600i standard feature too. 

S600i got a USA brother called W600i, the second Walkman phone for Sony Ercsson. The differences are the GSM frequency used, the internal memory (W600i got 256MB) and the handset colors. 

SE S600i also supports the landscape or even L-shape game playing mode. The preinstalled games includes Worms™ Forts: Under Siege 3D developed by THQ Wireless, Extreme Air Snowboarding™ developed by Digital Chocolate and a new multiplayer version of Midway¡¦s Gauntlet™, developed under license by TKO Software. 

The phone will be available in the 3rd quarter of 2005.
